The crankshaft pulley is the primary element of the drive system, which transmits torque directly from the crankshaft through the drive belt to other units and engine components (power steering, air conditioning compressor, generator, etc.). The efficiency of the pulley directly affects the resource and reliability of engine systems. During the operation of the internal combustion engine (ICE), due to the uneven working process, torsional vibrations occur, which negatively affect the operation of the auxiliary engine systems and can cause their breakdown. To minimize the effect of torsional vibrations in the design of the crankshaft pulleys, special elastic rubber dampers are used.
